The European Commission is establishing a voluntary network on Health Technology Assessment (HTA) within the context of the Cross-Border Healthcare Directive (see Article 15).

The purpose of this network will be to support and facilitate cooperation among Member States. As a consequence, the European Commission launched a public consultation to better evaluate the involvement of various stakeholders in the network. This consultation closed on 1st August 2012.
