The Global Diagnostic Imaging, Healthcare IT & Radiation Therapy Trade Association (DITTA) announced outcomes of their first Board of Directors meeting. In 2012, DITTA became a legal entity and doubled the number of members while also building key international relationships. Capping off a year of significant growth, the Board unanimously approved the association’s by-laws and re-confirmed a strategy for 2013 to promote DITTA’s visibility, attract more members and strengthen existing relationships with the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF), World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO) and Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP).

The following DITTA Board members through 2014 were elected by unanimous consent:
-Gail Rodriguez, MITA Executive Director, DITTA Vice-Chair
-Hans Beinke, MITA International Committee Chair
-Nicole Denjoy, COCIR Secretary General, DITTA Chair
-Peter Linders, COCIR International Focus Group Chair
-Kenichi Komatsu, JIRA Chairman
-Satoshi Kimura, JIRA Managing Director, DITTA Vice-Chair

The new leadership team of DITTA in 2013 and 2014 remarked that “the diverse and high-caliber makeup of DITTA’s new Board of Directors strengthens our growing international efforts,” said Satoshi Kimura. “The high-level of commitment we see moving forward from our association partners and their member companies is clear,” said Nicole Denjoy. Gail Rodriguez said that “DITTA has grown more in the past year and a half than it has in the decade before. The association now has the resources and capacity in place to take things to the next level.”

The Board agreed that DITTA remain focused on improving the global regulatory environment for manufacturers to ensure that in the interest of all people in the world they remain at the forefront of technological innovation and are successful in the global marketplace as they continue to develop more advanced, life-saving products that improve quality, safety and patient access while also promoting cost efficiency.
