The objective of the Annual Forum 2018 was to present and discuss the achievements 2017 for Magnetic Resonance equipment and the introduction of a new initiative for the management of hazardous chemicals. This new concept has been identified by the Steering Committee as a next step in the context of implementation of circular economy. The use of safer chemicals is high on the agenda of EU institution and healthcare providers all over the world and COCIR Memebrs believe that a coordinated approach is going to have major benefits compared to individual companies’ initiatives.
The 6th Annual forum on the COCIR SRI took place in Bruxelles, at the Diamant Building conference center, on 15 march 2017, from 14.00 to 16.00. The achievements 2016 for MRI and the new methodology to quantify the circularity of the refurbishment business models have were discussed. The ongoing work in IEC on the PAS63077 (refurbishment of medical imaging devices) and 63120 (refurbishment of medical devices and elements of circular economy) have been included in the SRI activities as potential contribution to improve the efficiency of the model.
The 5th Annual forum on the COCIR SRI was held in Bruxelles, at Diamant Building conference center, on 12 April 2016, from 14.00 to 16.00 . The achievements 2015 for Magnetic Resonance equipment and the newly developed methodology for assessing the circularity of economy in the medical imaging sector have been presented and discussed.
The 4th Annual forum on the COCIR SRI took place in Bruxelles, at Diamant Building conference center, on 18 March 2015, from 14.00 to 16.00 . The achievements 2014 for Magnetic Resonance equipment and the on-going activities on Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, X-ray and PET/SPECT modalities have been presented and discussed. The new COCIR initiatives in the field of Circular Economy have been as well in the focus.
The 3rd Annual Forum on the COCIR SRI was held on 26 March 2013, from 13.30 to 16.30 at COCIR offices in Brussels. The achievements of the MRI project and the ongoing activities on Ultrasound, CT and X-ray have been presented and discussed with stakeholders and the European Commission.
On 19 march 2012 the SRI Steering Committe organized the 2nd Annual Forum meeting on the COCIR SRI open to the European Commission and the Consultation Forum. The new V3 methodology, the results of the application of the SRI methodology to Computer Tomography and the Industry committment to reduce the energy usage have been presented and discussed during the event.
On 28 March 2012 the SRI Steering Committee organized the 1st Annual Forum with the participation of the European Commission and the Consultation Forum to present the results of the studies and the ecodesign target on magnetic resonance equipment.
