COCIR believes that there is a number of interesting use cases where blockchain represents a potential advance or opportunity, including reimbursement of healthcare services, exchange of health data, clinical trials and supply chains. Yet a number of challenges are preventing the large-scale deployment of this technology in healthcare, such as distributed governance of blockchain ecosystems, interoperability and data privacy.
